Synology ds218+ for computer components

Works on Synology DS218+ after installing 2 x 4GB HX318LS11IB/4. I used 2 sticks as I thought the different delays wouldn't work properly (Synolgoy is CL13, HyperX is CL 11) - another reviewer didn't like one stick. For Intel, the maximum value the CPU can see is 8GB, so I choose 2 of these bars (appropriate). There is a good video on Youtube about disassembling the DS218+. Oh, removing the Synology 2GB Flash Drive will void your warranty, so there's a risk. I create my volume as I type. If I…

Works with Synology DS918+

I bought this memory recently because it's half the price of the Synology brand. Everything loads and displays accurately. Someone had a misleading post about this memory running at 1333MHz, but as you can see in my screenshots dmidecode is clearly showing the correct 1866MHz. and 15 years of experience in IT, I think that will work well. ;) UPDATE: It's been 2 years and my Synology is still purring like a cat. In fact, I've decided to buy *more* of this memory for my Dell XPS, which I recently

Works on Acer Aspire ES1-732-P2NM

The Acer Aspire ES1-732-P2NM only has an 8 GB max slot. What wasn't in this laptop was proprietary RAM. According to CPU-Z, the RAM included in this laptop had a CL11 latency, while Kingston had a CL9 latency. Both are 1.35v. Bottom line, this Kingston module worked on this laptop, even though the Kingston website didn't list my laptop model in the compatibility list, nor did the Revain compatibility tool confirm an exact match. CPU-Z now shows DDR3 12800, Kingston, 8 Gb, CL9, Dual Channel…

Great rum at a great price!

Beautiful Aries! It worked for my Dell Inspiron 11 inch 2 in 1 :) It shows 7.89 GB of RAM (117 MB reserved for graphics). When I got the RAM I just unscrewed the bottom screws, put in a new memory stick and put it back in and everything worked as usual. I haven't noticed a significant increase in speed, but I can open more tabs in my browser and open more things at once without slowing down! I give this RAM 5 stars because it worked as intended. Is it worth upgrading a laptop's RAM? Well, it…

No buyer regrets it

I got a great bargain when I bought Revain Warehouse. The packaging has been opened, but that's just aesthetics! The RAM modules work great. The good news and the bad news is that technicians, especially those who have been in the field for a long time, are right: you won't notice much or no difference in performance unless you push your machine to the limit and use the intended use: write, play, watch movies. I like my machine, but it's really overpowered for what I'm using it for, so no, I…

Disappointing experience with tech support

They sent the product, brand new, sealed with warranty. And it didn't work when I downloaded Windows 10 Pro, 64 bit. After several researches and discussions in the MS community, it seemed memory was to blame. But their rep at Revain disagreed, arguing inappropriately about the technical side of things like processor generation and all that. And it took me 2 long weeks for all sorts of checks. Eventually I figured it out, prepared documents and evidence why it's buggy. Contacted ANZ support…

Works with an early 2011 17 " Macbook Pro

Works with an early 2011 17" Macbook Pro. The memory works well. I upgraded my Mac to the actual (unannounced) limit of 16GB (Apple's official documentation says the maximum is 8GB, which is not true). Also, it's a speed of 1600, which is faster than the 1333 that originally came with the Mac, and works fine. This upgrade, along with the SSD, will greatly increase my Macbook's performance and allow for another 2-3 years of use (and make OS X upgrades with more memory more attractive). Update…
