Several questions. Something is wrong with the internal wiring, despite being installed correctly, and is tripping the circuit breaker when you turn it off. So it comes back because I don't trust it. The bulbs included are silver on the outside and smaller than regular GU10 halogen free bulbs so they fit snugly, aren't visible and get REALLY hot! If you replace them with halogen-free bulbs, your new bulbs will be white on the outside and protrude from the shade. Looks terrible.

This is an attractive light source that can be directed where you need to focus the light. We are remodeling the house and adding an island to the kitchen. While there were plenty of overhead lights, there was a single glass on an independent switch that was meant for the kitchen table, but it was on the side where the new island was being installed. I just installed this light over my kitchen sink and it's a huge improvement. Most of the installation difficulties were caused by old wiring etc, so it's not the fixture's fault, but I've had many problems with the canopy screws and caps - every time I tighten the caps, the nuts on the screws loosen. As a result, the part wobbles a bit, but fortunately this is well covered by the trimming. Another note: just not the best quality - a few parts that should be straight, not really. Oh good…

We chose oil bronze on white semi gloss walls. Ignore the brown cabinets, they'll be painted navy blue or navy blue soon. But the whole house is painted and we have an oil brushed bronze theme with all the lighting for a bit of an industrial look. Very easy to install. We walked with bright light instead of daylight. We bought this partly because of the price compared to a very similar unit we almost bought for over $300. That's a good color. The reason we deducted a star is because the bulbs stick out further than the bulbs themselves, which looks cheap. The shells are bronze in color and the lights are white.
