🔴 Red KISS Titanium Flat Iron, 1/2-inch Review

I have 3 beautiful girls with naturally long hair from 4b to 4c. After watching a YouTube video of a silk press, I ventured into these straighteners and tried to find an alternative to what I was using. Glad to have them in my collection, they heat up quickly and are effective when it comes to straightening baby hairs that most tools can't reach. But look at those ears! They have a good heating range in terms of parameters and they keep heat well.

I love these lightweight straighteners, they are so easy to use and temperature controllable I have used them to style short hair that no other straighteners can match.

Works great! I use it to make my hair more wavy: I have coarse fine Asian hair and only need the lowest setting to see results. I personally prefer using a curling iron as it doesn't get too frizzy as my hair is naturally straight. But I wish they had a ceramic or other material version. The iron heats up very quickly, I'm afraid it will damage my hair if I work too slowly. Love this iron. I'm a pro and I usually buy Babyliss Nano Titanium and Chi Ceramic, but I used this 1/2" RED Nano Titanium Long Handle and it was spot on. The cable could have been a bit longer otherwise it's definitely a 5☆ Iron.

This hair straightener would be great if it actually reached the advertised temperature. I have an infrared thermometer and I keep it next to the FHI iron. At the maximum temperature setting (450 degrees), this scanned at 250 degrees. The size and rounded corners are great, but when you're trying to apply keratin, it's not hot enough.

Why is it so hard to design 1/2 inch flush plate irons?! Stop springing the links so much that the main function of the FFS iron is compromised. The gap here was unreal, look at the photo. I'm a physically strong woman and I had to work so hard to get these plates to not just pull but actually push against my hair, it was ridiculous! My hand is TIRED. I liked this iron and used it occasionally (maybe 15 total times in 6 months). The temperature control feature is useful, although I only turned the dial to medium on the first day and never changed it again in the future. On a medium setting, the iron straightens/curls your hair perfectly and quickly. I also really liked the narrow plates of the ironing board - just the right size for drawing medium and short hair. I was waiting for a review after seeing some reviews saying they stopped working after a few days. However, mine still works and it gets very hot! I don't even use it at the highest temperature of 450. My hair is relaxed, colored and short and it's the perfect size. I recommend this iron, you can't beat the price and it has worked great for me so far!
