I bought these glass water bottles because of their looks, I was in love with them. however, there is a terrible SMELL 🤢 ! I've washed and rewashed them but the smell won't go away 😩 although I know they're clean I can't bring myself to drink from them because of the smell 😔

They're great - I like to use glass instead of plastic and the bushings keep them from breaking. The only negative, as other reviewers have mentioned: the caps had a terrible smell. I have washed them several times and there is no way I keep bottles with caps on. After a few washes and airing, the smell seems to be gone - hooray! I'm glad I have it because I can put it in the dishwasher and I always have a fresh, clean bottle in my gym bag.

I love the size and shape of these bottles. I like that the lid has a removable seal for cleanliness. Glass is easy to clean with a bottle brush. However, when I received my product, one of the four caps was crushed inside and unusable. I decided to hurry up and use other bottles because I needed them right away. After two weeks one of the working caps started generating metal splinters which is NOT an exciting or painless discovery. I will look for another product.

Lid design allows mold growth and cannot be avoided. Below a small metal capital on the lid is an empty recess in which the ribbon of cloth is held. After you wash the cover, the fabric strap will get wet and a small part of it will not dry completely, resulting in mildew. I could tell it happened because there was an awful bad smell that I couldn't get rid of, so I broke one of the bad caps and found something black growing in the little metal cap. Update 08/08/2020: Hinge broke on first use. It came off the cap when the bottle was 3/4 full of water. Luckily it was on the trail and the bottle fell in the mud and didn't break. It doesn't look like there's an easy way to fix this. I have contacted the seller to see if there is a way to fix this loop but they have not responded. Otherwise the bottles are of good quality. Came dirty. (See photos, my camera didn't take them very well, it's more than what can be seen) I was so incredibly excited and when I first opened them up I was incredibly happy with the product.
