KitchenAid KKFSS3PRST Classic Brushed Stainless Review

I had a set of expensive Henkels. Genuine Henckels, not cheap Henckels International. They are rusty. Bought a set of Wüstof knives. $175 for 8. They were rusty and cheap looking. Got rid of them and bought these KitchenAid knives and am very happy. They look great, feel great and cut just as well as expensive Henckels and Wüstof knives. Plus, they're MUCH cheaper and dishwasher safe.

I've been tricked into thinking by the KitchenAid brand that they should be premium because they have that name. Not right. It's been five months, rarely used, and they're rusting from the inside out through tiny holes in the stainless steel. (Like others I've had) A manufacturing defect because the stainless steel coating is too thin and water can eventually get into the blade where rust starts, comes out and stains the outside of the blade and this goes on forever. Dishwasher safe, easy to sharpen and great value KitchenAid Classic forged knives are one of my favorites for everyday use when I don't want to hand wash. This chef's knife is heavily used and has withstood many trips in the dishwasher. It can also be sharpened wonderfully. I like it so much I've started replacing the rest of my cheap knives with this line. I also have steak knives and a utility knife and both are excellent.
