Great kite for outdoor sport and play

I bought this kite for my nine year old daughter and I am very happy with it. Neither of us had flown a kite before, but this kite made it easy for me. This kite is well made, good size, beautiful and easy to fly. The tail and streamers are nylon, not cheap plastic like some other kites. It flew in relatively light winds (although it was still D.C.'s National Mall in front of the Washington Monument) and required little effort to stay aloft. I also appreciate the reusable plastic sleeve thatโ€ฆ

Looks great. Flying could be better.

Looks great and have fished it twice so far, once on the 300ft line that comes with the kit and again on the 1300ft 40lb test line and almost to the end . I had to reel it in because anti-clockwise it keeps diving deep and the line gets stuck in the treetop for a few minutes before it's released. When he dives, I have to quickly untie the leash to get him to stand up again. If it's flying straight, it's good. I would like to know why he dives. I don't know if it's a kite or the wind. I've alsoโ€ฆ

Doesn't fly, weaker than light

Not happy with purchase, couldn't get off the ground and was uncontrollable. I bought it along with four other kites due to flying season. It was one of the worst purchases in my country, it only gets two stars because it's attractive, save some value, maybe I can put it up as a decoration in my son's room. To be specific the spar didn't give the kite much stability and ended up having to adjust/tighten something, there weren't any instructions for this so I didn't know what it was. I triedโ€ฆ

Great kite for the family!

I remember as a kid thinking kites were hard to fly. We recently bought this kite to enjoy the outdoors with our daughter in spring. I also bought a premium line (Stake Line Winder, 500ft) that just attaches to the kite. Setup is very easy. 3 metal bars and rope loop. Took less than 5 minutes. This kite practically flies itself. On a windy day this is effortless. On a slightly less windy day it still doesn't take much effort to drop and launch. It can break quite fast and hard, but hasn't doneโ€ฆ

Fun to fly, good for kites

I took it to fly with my daughter. It's very easy to get airborne. We went out on a windy day and it was actually too windy for the kite. It rises at the slightest breeze and hangs beautifully. It is not so stable in gusty winds. We had wind gusts of around 15-20mph which made the fabric flutter pretty well and a bit difficult to control. It was great in quiet times. You can stand still and control it with one hand. It's very nice when the sun shines through the nylon fabric. The constructionโ€ฆ

Great kite for the money

I was a little suspicious of the quality of a kite under $30, especially given the many other kite options that were more expensive, but I am very happy with this product. . I wanted a kite that my 5 year old could basically fly on his own and it fit the bill. Installation only took a few minutes including installing the mount in the kite and attaching the end of the rope to the body. Then, after waiting for the wind for about a day, we headed out to fly. What I love about this kite is that you

Description: Easy Flyer

Bought this for my 2 1/2 year old and 1 1/2 year old to play at the park. In light winds I can launch it with my hand - no need to play lots of lines, run or anything - just hold it over my head and release. I got it to the limit of the included rope - I think it's about 300ft but it's most fun flying lower where the kids can see it better. At very low altitudes it can fall off quickly if the wind changes, but you can pull the rope or run to keep it going. If I lift it to about 80 feet orโ€ฆ

a worthy starter kite that can give the little one a lot of fun.

We bought this for our son a year ago who was 2.5 at the time. I was a bit skeptical at first because of the relatively high price ($25 as of June 2013) and opted for the cheaper In Breeze Rainbow Diamond Kite, 30-inch. However, it was a very disappointing experience: no luck getting on the air. After this failure, I wanted to try this one and pay almost double the price. The kite is easy to set up and looks pretty decent. Can't say this is a top of the line professional kite but a great startโ€ฆ
