Green Klean Kanteen Loop Bottle Cap Review

This makes it easy for me to get replacements and this one won't run into my purse (unlike sports hats which never fully cover my kids!)

I have an old stainless steel Klean Kanteen. An old hollow cap lost on the street. This replacement (light green) fits perfectly and does not leak. I like the closed bottom - keeps it cleaner than the old hollow top.

This cap is completely durable (no hole to screw into the bottle) making it dishwasher safe. Because it's solid, it won't fill up with water when you wash it. Securely fits all of our Klean Kanteen bottles and the green color makes them stand out.

I bought a 27 oz canister with a sports cap but the sports cap leaked when the bottle was placed on its side or upside down making it very difficult to carry in bags or store elsewhere no cup holder or flat surface. This cap doesn't leak at all if I toss it sideways in a gym bag or something.

The color is nicer in person than on the internet. They match our Klean Kanteen cups from a few years ago so they're great for kids getting older. I really didn't want anything to drip, but I probably should have brought a water bottle spout anyway. Opening and closing the little hands takes a bit of effort so my kids don't seem to use them as much as it would be quicker to take a small sip on the go. Pros: Quality seems good. The bottom is sealed, not open. Cons: Strong bacterial smell/taste if not washed daily, although I only use it for water. Shouldn't smell so fast. I started using Klean Kanteen water bottles in 2013. The first bottle I bought fell on hard surfaces a few times, there are some dents in the metal but it's still solid.
