These socks are very thick, although I bought the largest size. If you have weak hands, you may have trouble applying. They compress swelling and are comfortable.

These socks are tight which I like. However, the foot length in these socks is too big. It was made for a larger size but they sell it as "small". I'm an 8.5 woman and the back of the heel comes down to my ankle. I've also found that my toes are killing me because of this at the end of the day.

It takes some practice and getting used to, but they fit great and are very durable (they don't stretch out) and I never have sweaty socks that I have to take off at the end of the day. Very good to work with. If you have large calves, go one size up. The direction of the stitches adds another compressive force, reminding me of bandages to support my feet and calves.
