These are compression stockings, which means they are DULL - and they are very good for that. NOTE: The first time I tried to put them on, it was almost IMPOSSIBLE. Then I read the instructions. ;) It's still tiring, but easy once you get your heel in place (that's the secret). I read that another person said they don't work and that they are a "rip off". I totally disagree, I don't work for a company, I've been running and hiking for over five decades. Exactly what I was looking for (but plain black or even a fancy design would be a good alternative).
