My favorite channel block.

Narrow head = high versatility. Makes it easier to grip even small screw heads. The robust construction is engineered for fast, accurate operation and quick adjustments. It offers ergonomic sizing. Won't rust, so while this line of products is a good investment, it's great value for money. Good seller, good delivery, happy buyer.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Almost never

What a beautifully made tool

I work in harsh environments so Cobra is not an option. They probably get sprayed with wd-40 once a month to keep them from rusting. This tool is very easy to open and close, I prefer a button that forces you to change the handle position. With practice, I found that they can be opened/closed with one hand.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Out of style

Big! Get what you pay for.

Channel lock Knipex pliers don't have an excellent reputation for nothing. Easily adjustable, won't slip or grab anything unfortunate enough to be their target. BIG capacity for a small package. In many cases I will mainly use them instead of a vise. I was highly recommended by a friend and I agree. Currently only this size available but I will try to add more when it goes on sale.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Working speed

I'm a plumber and love the Knipex Cobra Pliers

I'm a plumber and love the Knipex Cobra Pliers. Almost all of our technicians use Knipex over-channel locks with one exception. He tried my Cobras for several days but didn't like the style of the push button controls. He's just getting used to the channel block style so I bought him this pair as they are more like the channel block style. He fell in love. He likes the feel of the grip and the lack of pinching and even admitted he holds the barrel/bolt better with less hand strain. Of course we

German made brilliance

There is little better than a German made tool. You can feel the technology behind these pliers. They are ideal for most household chores. I use them to pull broken bolts out of wood and reload locking rings. I didn't have a single problem or complaint. They are made in Germany from German steel. They are also very durable while maintaining a lightweight feel. I can honestly put them in my back pocket and forget about them. The teeth are well made and very sharp. The moon is meant to be pulled…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Very expensive

The only channel locks you will ever buy again

These are the best channel locking pliers I have ever bought. This particular style is my personal recommendation. They have a thin profile and can slide into hard-to-reach places. Nothing sticks out so the edges don't stick. They're big enough to really twist a little when needed, and the jaw tips can still grab small objects. They'll grab anything that gets in your mouth. This is by far the only style I will ever buy again. Knipex has many good products, but this one just stands out. Worth…

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Versatile alligators with bite and value.

What can you say about Knipex that hasn't already been said? These things are amazing. Continuous. Cozy. Versatility. These are 7 inch alligators and will fit perfectly in your pocket or tool tray. I like the ergonomics of the handle which is perfect for my big paws. These pliers are perfect for big and small hobbyists. The jaws are aggressive and hold the material securely in place. The brightly colored pens are easy to spot, even when they sink to the bottom of your shopping cart or tool box.

Pros
  • Simple design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Price, workmanship, ease of use. All in all an excellent tool

After I lost count of the number of channels I broke and injured myself for the last time, I decided to try them based on the opinions of some colleagues Electrician. I've never liked cobra tongs, mainly because I'm used to how channel locks work, so crocodiles seemed a better fit. Having disassembled them after a few weeks I am very impressed with their quality and in my opinion better grip and ease of use. They have a smaller profile and fit into tighter spaces, grip better and seem to mark…

My Tools on a Deserted Island

Having been a big fan of canal locks for years, I lost my 430s and a friend of mine lent me a pair of 10 inch alligators. I used them for about a week and wasn't impressed until I went back to using channel blockers. The difference in leverage, grip and action makes me think channel locks are obsolete. Love the fact that you can tighten the baskets on the corner stops and flaps without removing the handle or switching to an adjustable wrench. My knipex 10″ alligators are the best tool I have…

Same Òle Knipex - hand tool

Whole. I've heard and read many times that we "pay import duties" on imported tools like Knipex and Wera, and that may be partly true, but I don't agree. I have several of the same size and different sizes of adjustable pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers, ratchets, etc. from this and many other manufacturers. Knipex performed best of all. I had a pair of Milwaukee & Greenlee pumping pliers in the same bag as my 10" version, which had a thin, even layer of rust, while the Knipex had a light
