The item seemed easy to work with, but the suction hose of the sounding tube that comes with the kit has a small diameter in my opinion. The tube was completely submerged in water and required at least 10 pounds of pressure to depress the pump handle, but it only pumped a small drop of oil and sometimes started blowing through the seal inside the device. The pump is simple and works. I bought this to just remove 20 ounces of transmission oil from my truck and then add back 20 ounces of Lucas transmission conditioner. Didn't work at first, but once I figured it out, it worked great. I used a dipstick tube and adapter. Works very well especially for the price. It's all plastic and doesn't feel particularly heavy, so I'm not sure about durability. Works great but with a tip. I've seen many people reject this pump because of the twists and kinks in the red tubing and tight packaging. This would make them difficult to use right away as others have written. In anticipation of this, before using it, I filled a bucket with very hot water and put the hoses in there to heat them as well. This "must have" was great. However, this is not the case. Which connector is the input and which is the output? You have to understand that. (The inlet is next to the handle.) It then FLOWS in "pump" mode. Collect the liquid and press the plunger handle to pump it out and it will squirt out around the pump cylinder where the outlet cap is located.
