These pencils may have no wood, but they also have no staying power. The lead easily snaps, smears during use and requires frequent sharpening. However, their lack of a wooden casing makes them eco-friendly.

Love sticks without wood. What can I say other than the fact that the wood doesn't affect how the product is sharpened, which gives you a lot more graphite and the ability to use the pointed side in the same way as a block.

Received these today and tried them. Starting with HB, it was very inconvenient to use for writing. 2b is slightly scratched from shading and writing. 4b appears smooth most of the time, with occasional shading and writing scratches. 6b is mostly smooth but sometimes feels scratchy like it has some harder graphite in it and 8b feels spiky like 6b but sometimes even harder.
