KOHLER 1363455 Part Aerator Grey Review

You will receive exactly what is pictured, aerator and key. Good price for a genuine Kohler part. However, I bought the wrong part number.

I'm pretty sure there's something wrong with my faucet, but this part has to be metal. Teeth just pulled out! Now the key is useless to me.

Item arrived as described, seller ok. The part itself is difficult for most to use as the teeth interlock, but they are so easy to disengage. Requires too much coordination and effort to install. Having a proprietary tool for removing a simple part that isn't well designed for ease of use and isn't cheap isn't ideal.

later Cons First: Kohler/moen use a custom faucet insert (and wrench). So if you have a Kohler faucet, you should use their parts. There are many secondary aerators that could improve water flow, but you can't buy them. Pros: This tool and a cheap replacement aerator are perfect (18.5mm). It was easy to replace an existing faucet that was clogged. It flows at a rate suitable for a sink. The price was good compared to other options.

It's a battle between aerator plastic and tool and the aerator won. I think the obvious thing would be to make the tool out of the same plastic as the part it connects to, but because the tool's plastic is softer, it takes a lot of effort trying to unscrew the aerator. so that the tool does not slip. What I bought was a kit that also came with a replaceable plastic aerator (also a bit odd) so I don't feel so bad about buying another, better product.
