. I ordered this RAM not knowing it was buffered RAM and wouldn't fit in my PC. I contacted the company thinking it was a mistake on their part but no it was my fault. They answered me pretty quickly and it was easy to work with them. There is NO reason not to buy this product, just make sure you choose the right type. MY manual for my motherboard didn't mention not being able to use buffered RAM and I had a problem because of that.

Works and is cheap. The risk premium is quite high. I have an HP G5 server that is a few years old. These FB ECC DDR2 are usually not cheap. Computerbay has the right price. I guess I'll lose $50 at worst. The modules have a Komputerbay label and a Samsung label. I tested them for a week. More than 45 passes passed. Then I ordered another 8x2GB from Computerbay. The 8x2 GB modules are called Hynix. They also passed several memtests. I don't have reliability ratings.

I bought this ram for my 2008 MacPro hoping to speed it up. It exceeded all expectations. It's the perfect alternative to more expensive RAM and works just as well, if not better. My early 2007 MacPro is starting to get pretty hard on my teeth and it's really showing. Since I can't afford a new one, I'm doing my best to make the most of this one for as long as possible. It was definitely time to add some RAM. I was pleasantly surprised at how cheap it would be to add 8GB. I'm glad I ordered this. It arrived very quickly.
