Guilty. - Computers and Accessories

. I ordered this RAM not knowing it was buffered RAM and wouldn't fit in my PC. I contacted the company thinking it was a mistake on their part but no it was my fault. They answered me pretty quickly and it was easy to work with them. There is NO reason not to buy this product, just make sure you choose the right type. MY manual for my motherboard didn't mention not being able to use buffered RAM and I had a problem because of that.

Pros
  • Best in class
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Passed 45 passed MEMTEST 86+

Works and is cheap. The risk premium is quite high. I have an HP G5 server that is a few years old. These FB ECC DDR2 are usually not cheap. Computerbay has the right price. I guess I'll lose $50 at worst. The modules have a Komputerbay label and a Samsung label. I tested them for a week. More than 45 passes passed. Then I ordered another 8x2GB from Computerbay. The 8x2 GB modules are called Hynix. They also passed several memtests. I don't have reliability ratings.

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Works great in the computer and accessory space

When I was replacing the RAM on a once expensive Dell Boss, I noticed it said "ECC" on it. What the heck is "ESS"? Apparently an excuse to charge five times as much for RAM. It was either trusting a company I had never heard of (komputerbay) for around $80, or going to the next cheapest (Corsair) for $250. $80 vs. $250. Combine it! The RAM has been in the car for about the last month, abused about 80 hours a week and is working great with no issues. 32-bit systems tend to have around 4GB of RAM

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires socket

This company sent my order for Komputerbay 8GB (4x 2GB) DDR5 FCL20 PC2-670 Fully Buffered 2Rx4 FB-DIMM (240 PIN) with heat spreader timely and computer bay 8 GB (4x 2 GB) DDR2 PC2-5300F 667 MHz CL5 ECC Fully Buffered 2Rx4 FB-DIMM (240 PIN) with heat spreader as described on Revain.com. The Komputerbay 8GB (4x 2GB) DDR2 PC2-5300F 667MHz CL5 ECC Fully Buffered 2Rx4 FB-DIMM (240 PIN) product with heat spreaders is excellent.

Pros
  • Nicely
Cons
  • Reliability

Good product! Internals

I bought this ram for my 2008 MacPro hoping to speed it up. It exceeded all expectations. It's the perfect alternative to more expensive RAM and works just as well, if not better. I was willing to shell out $250 for similar RAM until I stumbled upon Komputerbay for $53. For the price it was worth a try. I'm glad I did. It's like a new computer even though it's 5 years old. My only complaint is not with the product or with Komputerbay, but with Revain itself. The order was completed and sent to…

  • understandable even for the old ones

Just what I needed in the Computer Components section

My early 2007 MacPro is starting to get pretty hard on my teeth and it's really showing. Since I can't afford a new one, I'm doing my best to make the most of this one for as long as possible. It was definitely time to add some RAM. I was pleasantly surprised at how cheap it would be to add 8GB. I'm glad I ordered this. It arrived very quickly. It took me about 10 minutes to install and it's been working flawlessly ever since. Highly recommended!

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • No form needed

Works great, delivery is fast

Computerby looks like a relatively new addition to the Revain marketplace. However, I can recommend them. I bought a bunch of fully buffered DDR2 ECC RAM from them and it's not that easy to get hold of these days. The price was good, the product works and I received it before the stated delivery date. I bought a Komputerbay 8GB (4x 2GB) DDR2 PC2-5300F 667MHz CL5 ECC Fully Buffered 2Rx4 FB-DIMM (240 PIN) with heatspreaders and also a 4GB package, total 12GB RAM and everything works fine. What I…

Great server storage for a small price :-)

I have been using many virtual machines for software development and testing. In the past I have bought expensive server memory by visiting upgrade sites, giving them model numbers etc of my Dell Precision or cloud server and paying big bucks for small memory upgrades. This time I decided to find out for myself what these servers really need, ECC FB-DIMM, 667 Mhz etc. and ordered this inexpensive memory. I was a bit worried there would be problems but I bought 4 gigabytes first, then another 2…

  • Absolutely amazing!

  • For a long time
