Worked well where I was struggling

I don't know what to say about the memory other than it works as advertised. I was trying to get two sets (4 x 2 x 2GB) of DDR2 memory working on an old MSI motherboard. These were Reaper OCZ devices and when I tried all four the motherboard wouldn't even boot. I wanted at least 8GB so I bought it. They worked immediately and I was very satisfied. After a while I figured why not try some Reaper OCZ RAMs in the other two slots. Well, now I had 12GB of RAM. Now I'm even happier. BTW the…

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • No power

Its worth it! Computer component memory

I don't know who made the RAM as all my test programs show blank spaces but the stuff just works. I bought 2 and bought 2 more the following month to bring the total RAM to 16GB compared to the 3GHz Phenom Black Edition on an ASUS M3A79-T Deluxe mobile phone. They replaced the Corsair Dominator DDR2-1066 8GB (4 x 2GB) and withstood multiple ordeal tests. DDR2 prices are getting more outrageous every day. Komputerbay offers a great product at a pretty good price. It's significantly cheaper than…

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • Not bad

Is this a real company?

Bought for an old PC. Why inflate the prices of useless radiators? You are not even bound. After the memory was installed, the heatsinks simply popped out of the DIMMs. It's like they're not doing anything. They're just tight for looks.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Clarity

Solid, fast, beautiful, stable and a little bit more!

Before the purchase, Computerbay was unknown. I've been building custom computers for almost 12 years now and this find is definitely a diamond in the rough. When I unboxed them I found two heavy and very well built RAM and heatsinks, not to mention they are absolutely gorgeous. I am impressed with the quality and speed of this RAM, the packaging and the efficiency with which it was shipped and delivered. It was a bit more expensive than I planned for this particular build, but after installing

Pros
  • Normal price
Cons
  • To the old

Worst RAM I have ever bought!

I've been in IT for 20 years and haven't bought bad RAM since the late 1990's until now. I've read reviews and seen a lot of people saying they have bad RAM. I figured they probably didn't buy the right RAM configuration for their PC, but I checked all the RAM specs against the motherboard and the komputerbay RAM is terrible. Both sticks were bad, neither of them! Spend a little more money and buy a Crucial, Patriot, or Kingston.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Annoying

Good product for computer components

Great product to increase memory on old computer motherboard with DDR2 DIMM 240pin SDRAM. However, you must have a 64-bit operating system to access all 8GB of RAM. 32-bit operating systems traditionally limit SDRAM swaps to around 4GB. Therefore, when running a 32-bit operating system, only 4GB is used even if all 8GB are installed (although the Windows Start menu shows the presence of all 8GB).

Fins add a lot of height!

The fins were too high for my PC, they got in the way of my CPU fan case (so I replaced the fan). Also, a piece of the "fin" fell off and I couldn't glue it back on. As for the actual memory work, everything seems to be fine. I doubled my RAM and it seems to have greatly improved PC performance.

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Memory upgrades in computers and accessories

Purchased memory to upgrade from 32-bit to 64-bit operating system. Memory installed ok no problem, I installed this version for extra cooling as my machine is in a cabinet with reduced airflow. Been using it for a month now and no problems to report.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Reliability
