Description of Stay Comfy and Protected: Konfidence Shorty Children's Wetsuit

Made from top quality 3mil neoprene. Flatlock stitching eliminates ridges and ensures a comfortable fit. The Konfidence Shorty Wetsuits are made in the same way as adult wetsuits as they keep children warmer in the water and safer in the sun. The neoprene fabric protects your kid from chilly winds and cooler waters as well as providing 100% UVPF. These wetsuits have bright colourful designs so your budding surfer or body boarder will have fun whilst riding the waves as well as letting parents keep an eye on them!.

Fits perfectly, comfortable

Bought for my son with cerebral palsy to keep warm in the water while swimming or splashing around. The fit is perfect, comfortable, it's VERY thick and keeps him warm and dry. Couldn't ask for more.

Pros
  • Excellent overall
Cons
  • Some flaws

Keeps my daughter warm

My daughter is very sensitive to cold. This allows her to be happy and warm in a 76-78 degree Fahrenheit pool on windy days in the 60's. Usually she trembled and suffered. 3mm is the best option although it makes it buoyant which is not ideal for swimming lessons.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Good but not very good

Worth the money!: Water sports

Fits my 7 year old daughter well (48 inches). She used to hate going to the pool even though it was quite warm (87 degrees). She left the class, her teeth chattering. Once you've put on your shorty wetsuit, the water temperature doesn't matter. She is warm before, during and after class. Absolutely worth the money. Now I can teach her to swim all year round.

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Zipper closes best in wetsuits

We've only had this wetsuit for 8 months. If my son wore it 20 times it would be a lot. The zipper has already burst and now the suit is unusable and I cannot return it. I had the same wetsuit for my older kids and they lasted much longer. Maybe they changed the materials because this latest wetsuit broke so quickly and a lot faster than expected based on previous purchases of the same wetsuit.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Faulty

They do a great job of providing extra warmth while swimming at the gym.

I have two of these: X-Small for my 4.5 year old (36 lbs, below average height) and Small for my 6.5 year old (50 lbs and 48 inches tall). ideal for extra warmth when swimming at the gym in winter and in the creek in summer. My older child almost needs the next size up but has a long torso. I love that they fit snugly around my skinny boys. The younger one still has a bit of baggy crotch, but that doesn't bother him.

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • Zero

a broken zipper made it unusable

My son gets cold very easily. This is the second wetsuit we have purchased from this company. My son has outgrown his old one (which he loved and wore all the time). We weren't sure what size to go for so we went with 2 because we knew that if it fits in the smaller it will grow into the larger - and that's exactly what happened. The smaller size fits perfectly. He used it for the first time last week. Everything went perfectly. He took it off, we rinsed it and hung it out to dry. The next day…

These wetsuits are great but size 11/12 is not much longer than 9/10

We have been using these wetsuits for many years. My 6.5 year old is average height but very slim (47 inches and 45 pounds) and just went from 5/6 to 7/8. There's some room for it in 7/8, but it's neither baggy nor baggy. nothing, and it warmed him in water with a temperature of 70 degrees. I just bought a 9/10 for my tall/thin 8 year old (55 inches tall, 65 pounds) and it fits him very well. I love these costumes because they fit my kids' thin builds. I went ahead and bought the 11/12 knowing…

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

skinny kid? This is the wetsuit they need.

This is the wetsuit you need when you have a skinny kid. It fit my average height son but was very thin allowing him to warm up during swim class in the YMCA's cold pool. Until I bought him this suit, he refused to take lessons. This suit is a whopping 3mm thick unlike most others I've seen for kids and fits snugly around skinny limbs and really keeps them warm. It was a turning point for us; My son, who used to cry before swimming lessons because he was so cold, now loves to swim. The size is…

SO glad I risked this!

Beautiful! For reasons unknown, my son starts shaking about 5 minutes after entering our public swimming pool. Other kids seem fine for a few hours. Mine had chattering teeth and bluish lips within minutes. Decided to buy him a wetsuit this year and was looking for a few things including a high collar to keep water out, a slim fit for his slim frame and good looks. Debate between this and the O'Neill Youth Reactor. The fact that it was $10 cheaper didn't hurt, but I chose this one because it…
