Not deep enough for an LED energy saving lamp. It is only suitable for old light bulbs. Be careful, only 5 1/2 inches deep. The new energy efficient LED bulb is 6 inches long. The seller says the globe is 6 inches long but that is the outside not considering the thickness of the glass.

My son broke an old ball on the ceiling fan while playing in his room. This is a good replacement. It installs quickly, literally with your fingers. The room is still bright but not as glaring as an open bulb. Doesn't rattle or make noise when the fan is running. Worth the cost for a simple fix!

Need a ball to replace the light in the heating/living area of the house. This little globe was exactly what I wanted. Big enough for a lightbulb and good quality for an inexpensive piece of glass. I am very satisfied with this product, the delivery and the company that sells it.

Very little like the picture. The glass is thick, the seams are visible, there is almost no space for a light bulb. It's so small it looks stupid. I didn't send it back because I might have it as a backup if I break my globe again, but it's in the box. Some disappointment.

I bought this lampshade to replace a lampshade in the hallway that had fallen off a lamp and broken. The lampshade is well packed with bubble wrap and a box to fit tightly.
