A must have in my tiny shop

Awesome design and affordable price compared to other Kreg machines. This is an easy setup and there are good instructions for the depth and type of screws you should use for each depth. For 3/4 inch thick boards, the hole will come out about 2 inches from the end of the board. So plan accordingly if you want to hide them in one piece, put a finish on them, or cut/buy a dowel to fit in. I take this into account. A jig is essential for woodworking as I have limited space and tools. I also…

Essential tool, the best among power tool parts and accessories

I needed to attach a crossbar to a 2 x 4 goal frame I'm building. Without pocket tools it just wasn't possible to tightly connect the cross member to the frame, believe me I've tried. One day I realized I had bought a Kreg light. It took me a while to figure out how to use it after a few initial attempts. The instructions are kind of confusing. I practiced a bit on the waste board, but it wasn't until I watched the video that I realized where to place it (which is important). After that…

But works great. - Power tool parts and accessories

The end result was great. However, this mini kit does NOT have everything you need. I recommend purchasing Kreg screws for everything to work as intended. These should be wood screws of different lengths for different thicknesses of wood, female threads for softwood, fine threads for hardwood, and the head must fit into a pre-drilled hole. You will need a long #2 square head screwdriver. A 3 1/2" Dewalt from a local store will do, but a longer one is a little safer so as not to damage the wood…

Faster than glue! for power tool parts and accessories

Bought this with a clamp and selection of screws to try one day. Like many of my new tools, it wasn't immediately useful. I glued the seams with biscuit waffles like before. I had a tight deadline for my latest project so I decided to give it a try. With a little practice on scraps I got the hang of it and built the chest and mirror in much less time than it would have taken to wait for the glue to set. (See Photo) The entire dresser and mirror frame are connected with pocket clip connectors…

Overall a great tool. If the parts all work

Although the tool itself is excellent I cannot recommend it due to the poor quality of the drill stop (a round piece around the drill bit) and set screw. This component is critical for controlling the depth of cut, but the drill stop sent to me had a very poorly machined threaded hole; Since they drilled a hole for the set screw, there was too much metal and despite my best efforts to clean it out, I couldn't remove enough for the drill bit to fit the drill stop. If I hadn't been lucky enough…

It works well and the instructions are easy to understand.

I used this tool to build an aviary for my birds. Works well, instructions are clear. However, I had a problem: I was drilling a hole in a white pine and my drill bit jammed. When I pulled it out it looked fine but wouldn't go back into the hole no matter how many times I tried. I held it up to a ruler and found that it was bent about 1mm in the middle. I didn't expect this to happen with a piece of metal made from such soft wood and I couldn't return it as Amazon only allows it for 30 days. I…

Great little tool for woodworking.

I love this light and have used it to make some raised window boxes and an outdoor table. Aside from the jig, you'll also need an adjustable clamp to hold it in place while you drill, a tape measure to adjust the depth setting on the drill bit, and your drill bit (obviously). While I love this lure I have a few areas that I can improve to make it even better. I've already made many of these tweaks myself, but it would be better (and look better) if they were in the original product…
