Was about a month with this product. Keep hey right next to my car keys. The key doesn't work today. I'll try the spare key, and if that doesn't work, a hacksaw. I will never use this lock again and will never buy a kryptonite lock again.

It started to rust after a little over a year. It is used daily and no longer spins as smoothly. He was left outside most of the time (bike racks at school) so he was exposed to harsh conditions. However, given the price and reputation of the brand, I was expecting a higher quality stainless steel.

Why do I have to give this product at least 1 star to write a review? It doesn't even deserve half a star. I purchased this lock despite many reviewers commenting on the faulty key locking mechanism as many had no issues. It's not good if you have a lock on your bike that won't open. I really don't understand why a company with such a good reputation keeps selling a product that is notoriously poor quality. VERY VERY DONE.

This lock worked fine for the first few months but I've had it for about 6 months now and the lock is already breaking. The keyhole is fixed to prevent the key from turning. Every time it gets stuck it takes 10 minutes longer to lock my bike and it's the most frustrating thing I've ever experienced. My fiancé has the same bike lock and the same thing happens. Save yourself the disappointment if you want it to last longer than a few months.

Worst bike lock I've ever had. Kryptonite made excellent locks. Now they have changed the locking mechanism which includes a very thin key that bends very easily. The lock has been blocked for me many times and won't open for several days until it randomly unlocks from time to time. I had to take public transport home every time my bike got stuck somewhere because I couldn't open the lock. Now you must address the kryptonite directly, for there is no turning back.

Absolutely impossible to write the key/code for the keys. The code does not match the model in the registration form. I tried all requests for kryptonite, only got ticket no but no reply, 20 days, one hour wasted; I would not have bought the product if I knew Kryptonite uses Zendesk for customer service, they are the worst! Kryptonite is the industry standard for a reason. These locks are easy to use and although heavy and somewhat bulky, give a good sense of security. However, the longer bar can be a bit more difficult to store on the bike, especially when using bottle cages. The memory attachment system has been improved compared to previous lock models. Previous kryptonite locks I've used included a plastic clip that was difficult to attach and detach from the lock without breaking, not to mention a nightmare…

UPDATE 05/30- Kryptonite asked for a photo of the damage which I sent. They immediately sent me a new lock and sent me a UPS label to send the damaged one back. All during Covid-Crazy!
