Kuhn Rikon Swiss Peeler 4 Inch Review

I really expected my set to have a more permanent tool instead of cheap plastic models, but that wasn't the case. The blade broke off when clearing out a normal-sized zucchini, it can be returned, but only after bending the frame and then closing it again. Very easy mode only.

What I like best is its light weight and sharp blade. When buying a peeler, don't buy anything heavy, especially if you peel a lot. I can judge the quality of this product. You may have to peel a potato to figure out the best way to use it, but once you do I think you'll enjoy using it too.

The part you are holding turned out to be thinner and lighter than I expected. Overall very nice and sharp. It works better than the old plastic Kuhn Rikon we have. Some of this may be due to age, but the blade appears to have a slightly different shape. I would buy it again but be aware that the pen seems to be a bit cheaper than you might expect.

What the hell. The photos look great because they show the view from above. Side and bottom views show it's stamped from metal, little thicker than a sheet of aluminum foil. It's terribly uncomfortable to hold, slips out of your hand when you try to use it, and doesn't have a wide enough blade to use it. It's now in my bin and I'm sad I bought it in the first place.

If you are looking for easy cleaning then this is the tool for you. Although the material is flimsy and not exactly pretty, this thing works great! This is the best scrub I've ever had. The metal handle looks solid, the description says the blade is carbon steel. It could be more convenient. Blades commonly referred to as "carbon steel" are NOT stainless steel. Pros: The blade is very sharp and cuts through potato skins quickly. Disadvantage: The handle is very thin and feels heavy in the hand.
