Good quality. for hand tools

The ax has a good weight. Very easy to swing. Good balance came out of the box, very sharp, no need to trim the edges. In general very satisfied.

Pretty good camping ax

It's always a compromise, if you want more power you should have a bigger handle but it's a good little general purpose ax for splitting wood and turning to use as a hammer to drive wood use tent poles. The headdress is good too.

Durable Garden and Lawn Care

I bought this for our camping trip. The blade is made of thick and durable steel. The handle is made of fiberglass composite which I think will last longer than wood. The handle has a non-slip design. The blade is already sharpened with protective sheath and scabbard. This is a useful tool for hiking.

Not durable for hand tools

I've had this hatchet for 4 months now, I've taken it on 3 trips and on the last trip it fell apart. When splitting the main kindling with short blows, the ax tip broke off completely from the hilt. I was afraid it wasn't worth the price and this proves it. I'm not sure how this ax would have lasted so long with such poor construction. The biggest disappointment.

Dull Dull Dull tending the garden and lawn

This one has no edge. I threw it on a piece of paper in the dirt and it didn't even cut the paper. He just shoved it under the ground like a hammer. This thing makes shovels look like they can be shaved. I would return it but I didn't use it fast enough. I would suggest buying this if you want an ax that does everything an ax does except chop. I regret this purchase and always will, but not as much as I regret buying the house in Baltimore.
