What a great product, easy to install, extremely versatile in terms of number of codes and time codes but most importantly it can lock and unlock the door remotely via Alexa, even from my machine connected to Alexa. absolutely love it. This version costs $20 less than the same lock on another model (I called Kwikset about this), so it was cheaper too. Bought to replace a broken Kwikset 910 Zwave lock. During the installation I noticed two problems. Firstly the screws in the attached picture were not tightened when I received the lock. And are they of a different type? I thought they should be the same. Secondly, the lock/unlock button is very firm when it is first fully installed. I got this because I can use it with SmartThings. I can add door codes for contractors, friends and guests wherever I am. It was easy to install and works very reliably. It took me a little while to figure out how to add the automation feature to SmartThings, but once I figured out how it works, it was easy to set up and use. The lock looks good and is easy to install. I liked being able to recode the lock to my existing house key. However, the reason we bought the smart lock was to be able to activate and deactivate multiple codes. It's actually impossible. You may have multiple codes, but you cannot delete them. Especially after receipt, please check all the details carefully before you start the installation. I have several Kwikset 888 deadbolts and they work very well. It pairs easily with the Samsung Hub and is fairly easy to manage through the SmartThings apps. However, they have a rather poor processing quality. I went through 3 that failed in various ways before finding the ones that actually worked. And the ones I have that should be the same are oddly different - some have backlit buttons and don't beep, and some just beep and don't light up. For the price, they should be of much better…
