Great price on shocks, struts and suspension

Bought these for my '98 Durango to replace rear shocks. As long as they are great! General handling has been improved and cargo handling has been greatly improved. Great upgrade value compared to OEM.

Place this and the corresponding set on the front.

Fit this and the matching kit to the front of our 2002 Durango, the handling is a little stiffer than stock but the extra stiffness works for us when towing.

Like day and night - shocks

These shocks are all they say. It feels like a brand new car. The ride and handling feel much more confident and precise. It's a bit stiffer than the OEM, but overall ride and handling are greatly improved. My Durango has never seen a dirt road, such an improvement even on pavement. Full disclosure: Hawaii's roads are worse than most third world countries. Maybe it's like off-road?

Pros
  • great for me
Cons
  • fade

I've always been a fan of the KYB suspension. I recently installed a shock kit on a '99 Dodge Dakota and was amazed at the changes in both handling and handling. This again confirmed why I continue to choose KYB for both price and quality. They are unrivaled in both everyday and productive applications. Performance for the price is worth the investment.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Available in white only

Best Shocks Ever: Replacement parts

These shocks replaced my factory Dodge Dakota shocks. I had just over 130,000 miles on my old shocks and of course they were dead dead! change into; Handling, ride quality and balance were day and night! I took the truck for offroad/dirt and the shock absorbers work better than expected! Altohuhg doesn't lift, these shocks will lift your truck about 0.5 inch but are easy to install at all factory locations. Vehicle: 2001 Dodge Dakota SLT 4X4.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Reliability

A little stiff for shock absorbers

If you want to drive a Cadillac they're not for you, but they're also better than the fierce mono-tube ProComps rides. I've replaced worn Monroe Reflex and Edelbrock shocks in the rear of the Dakota and I like that the ride is balanced now. The noble rocks were ok but didn't match the worn out reflex. My truck rolls smoothly in corners and drives great at highway speeds. At low speeds the shock can be a little stiff on paved roads with torn seams, but they handle speed bumps and dips with ease.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Not as good as it says

Great Shocks: Shocks

I just installed them on my 00 Dakota 4x4 and it's a completely different truck. Keep in mind that the factory shocks were definitely worn but feel a lot better than the stock ones. Cornering and braking are vastly improved, and the rear is stiffer thanks to the full bed. I recommend spending the extra money and getting these monomaxes! UPDATE: January 14, 2016 I'm updating this review as this is the first time I've pulled out my large box trailer with these new shocks. There was a HUGE…

Firm but not too hard.

Replaced all four shocks on a 2001 Durango. The old shock absorbers were very weak and the car rolled heavily while driving. I've used KYBs in the past and have been very happy with the ride quality, but have never used MonoMax shocks. I was concerned they might be too stiff for daily LA riding. But after driving it for a few days I'm happy with the trip. It's definitely stiffer than the original, but not drastically. Rather, the car just feels more planted and manageable. Large bumps and…

  • Sleek design
