Easy to replace. Good quality replacement.

Good quality replacement. Used on Volkswagen Tiguan. Ease of installation. The video can be found on YouTube. You must have a set of 12 stars for this to work. The kit is not included with the latch. Can you do it!

Inexpensive, works great, easy to install

What a great price. Immediately jumped up. The electrical connection is solid. The carriage latch has been correctly aligned. Operational checks for opening, closing, locking and unlocking worked just as well as the OEM part while saving over $100 compared to the Volkswagen part. Not sure about durability but the more expensive OEM part from Volkswagen didn't last long in that regard so why overpay. Very happy with my purchase.

Failed after 5 months of light use

This latch looked exactly like the original part it replaced (2013 model). The fit was perfect. Installation is easy if you have the right tools. Unfortunately, the bolt failed less than 6 months after installation - the trigger motor makes no noise. Luckily, the manual unlocking still worked. There is no VW marking or country of origin marking on this part. The VW part I just bought from the dealer to replace this one - at 5 times the price - was marked VW, listed Italy as the country of…
