It looks like a 20 ga cable - the spec says 10 ga. This will in no way withstand the amperage being carried over the 10GA cable - the specs need updating.

I have ordered similar connectors from other suppliers several times and have always had good luck with them. This time I needed 10 packs instead of 5 packs so I ordered them. Very disappointed. Super thin wire. I will return them and order 5 packs that I have had in the past. However, they can work for very light load applications, which is why they get 2 stars from me.

These are convenient weatherproof connectors for attaching to a vehicle or trailer. If necessary, there are options for more wires. I've used them to outfit cars with headlights or other electronics and when I was completely rewiring a trailer I added them so the headlights could be removed and replaced without having to cut the wires on the trailer itself. I have been very happy with their use.

Of course it can handle 5 amps, maybe for a 7cm cable plugged into the socket, but for anything else (which will DEFINITELY be) they're practically useless (maybe around LED strips or something with power too take care of). low traction). If you first apply some dielectric grease to lubricate the silicone seal as it slides it comes together very easily. I used some of these to make dividing points next to me when installing the rock lights. Now when I need to remove the panels for maintenance I just take them off instead of removing the rock lights. I just wish they made them in 16awg and 14awn for higher amperage connections. A good product.

I use these connectors for the regular 2 wire auxiliary lights on my jeep. Knowing that LED lighting means a complete replacement of a device if it fails, this connector makes it easy to add an end to a new device and plug it in easily. into the connector to keep it connected during the hard ride. Price? For the convenience and what's expected, this is a great value.

When force is applied to this connector, the wires will pop out. This has happened to me twice while stripping and installing. While they appear to be waterproof, that doesn't give me a long-term guarantee of mechanical integrity. This connector will work if your cord is NEVER taut and you are very careful, otherwise look for something else like an airplane connector. There's nothing worse than cords coming out of a power plug when you're out or doing something important.
