I don't use it for a laptop. it's quite small and doesn't fit in my 17 inch monster; However the reason I bought it is because my old Wi-Fi router gets a little warm and this was the perfect thing to have on the shelf. A light breeze under my router keeps speeds under heavy loads. Yes it's right. Do not ask.

Bought for a gaming computer that is always on because today's kids can't turn things off. So it worked well for staying cool. The lights are a nice touch, but when the computer is on you can see them, so it doesn't matter. But so far it's working great. For the price you can't beat it.

I have a gaming laptop that can get very hot. This stand helps cool it down a bit. The downside is that the fans rush downward and all the heat ends up in your lap. To be expected with such a device. A solid base with side vents would have made more sense. And it wouldn't be hard to add a thin sheet of plastic to achieve this result. In the end I recommend.

I bought this to prevent my wireless router from overheating and causing reliability issues. While it serves its purpose, I'm not entirely happy with it. The fans work and aren't very noisy, and the router's temperature has dropped quite a bit, but the USB connector is uncomfortable and non-removable, and the LEDs are annoyingly bright. I don't think this cooling pad can cool a laptop much, especially a high-end laptop when it's powered on.

I have a new 15.6 inch gaming laptop that I would like to add cooling to make it last longer and wow this thing is great. It doesn't blow a whirlwind, but it's a nice breeze with two fans and works well for laptops with vents on the bottom. Even without a fan, it offers a good stand with plenty of airflow to keep it cool. Lights are useless but cool. I plugged this fan stand into a USB port that isn't plugged into my laptop so it doesn't put any strain on my laptop. It is very good

I have no doubt you can find better ones for more money but I think this one is amazing for the price. The fans are barely audible. I had to experiment a bit with moving my laptop up or down to get the fans actually under the laptop vents. If you place the laptop directly on it, the fans will blow into the part of the laptop where there are no vents. The laptop works much better for game emulation. I used to have frequent freezing and stuttering but now they are gone. Cooler laptop = more power
