This filter changed the look and taste of our ice cubes. The instructions are clearly presented and the parts included allow the use of copper and plastic tubing. I cut the existing copper tubing and installed the filter on the back of the fridge as shown in the photo. Installation took less than 45 minutes, including the time it took to flush the filter thoroughly.

We have great water, usually between 25 and 35 ppm. This cuts it in half like any other jug, a faucet nozzle expensive in machine filters with charcoal. Every few months they make the most of the chlorine to clean out the pipes and kill any organisms they can find. This will remove odor and taste. Let the jar sit overnight and almost all of the dissolved solids will have evaporated and you'll be left with almost no water and it tastes great.

Purchased when ice maker is installed. We have very bad, hard water. I bought a household water softener to improve hardness and added this built in ice cube filter. Follow the instructions for flushing the filter prior to installation. Also, we did several ice making cycles and threw away the cubes. The first cubes still had a strange taste. so the one i got came with the right LASCO connectors and packaging BUT it wasn't like the picture. A much lower quality filter that you can get for $4-$5 that is only rated for 1500 gallons and the actual brand of filter is different than the one pictured. I suspect the manufacturer changed to save costs and this list has not been updated. Cut the ice pipe at the back of the fridge and connect this filter to it and in a day the ice will be crystal clear, brilliant white and tastier. It works and is amazed at how it seals with no leaks.
