Worth the investment!

I own two GM cars and this device solves the problem I was looking for. Last used on my 99 Tahoe 5.7L to set the CMP delay time. Worth the investment. This device has already paid for itself after a few uses instead of taking it to a workshop. Update and register to get the latest product codes and software.

Pros
  • Large for me
Cons
  • Not reliable

Buyer Warning. This unit could soon become obsolete, if not already.

This item is mostly deprecated (must be using Windows XP or WINDOWS 7 - Microsoft no longer supports these versions). It may or may not update correctly with Windows 10, resulting in codes not being properly diagnosed (wrong readings). When I contacted LAUNCH I was told that I would have to pay the tech support fee. Find another reader with better support. return of this item.

I like it, it has many features.

I like that it has many features that others don't have at a very good price. Buy it, it covers a lot of things that the more expensive ones will do, and most likely more than when I really need it, but so far it's really good quality and I'm very happy with it and would recommend it to anyone looking into it is interested or must buy one, that's all

Amazing value! The best scanner for the money!

Received because the Corolla 07 had the airbag light on. This made it possible to read and erase codes right out of the box, without the need for an update or registration. With its cleaning function, a clockspring malfunction could be diagnosed by short-circuiting the squibs. It's also very fast. Also read all historical materials, this is useful when buying a used car. It pays off 10 times. Just make sure your car is on the supported cars list. It was very intuitive, no instructions needed…

Works well in tools and devices

I purchased a Bluetooth code reader before this purchase, but due to an unstable Bluetooth connection, the diagnostic information found by this code reader is not accurate enough. This code scanner can start working after a simple connection to the OBD-II port, and it decodes four system error codes very well, and also gives me workable solutions to the problem. For example, I received an ABS fault code - C1095, and it means ABS hydraulic pump motor circuit fault. This code can be caused by a…

Troubleshooting ABS issues on my own car

As a professional mechanic, I have many extensive auto scan tools. I recently found this introduction of Creader vii+ that fixes ABS issues and it's only about $149. Once connected, it starts analyzing and then checks different vehicle systems. Once you get to the ABS system you can read and erase the trouble codes after they have been fixed and get information from the computer if needed. This tool gives each DTC and explains what the code is. It can tell you if the brake lights are working…

Best investment, I wish I had done it sooner

I chose this particular reader after much research and comparison. Basically, I wanted something for my old Mercedes that could be used for other cars in the family. I'm tired of paying over $500 to visit a mechanic (magically any problem, no matter how big or small, costs about the same to fix, hmmm suspicious). It's been an amazing investment. I no longer have to go to a mechanic for most problems. I can find out the codes and get the parts I need myself. If it's a bit difficult, I can…

Counterfeit product and does not read SRS or ABS!

This POS is not a product of Launch Tech USA, it is not even affiliated with Launch Tech. Specifically, it claims to be able to communicate with my ABS and SRS systems on a 2005 Honda Civic, but it can't. For the rest, it only reads general OBD information, nothing OEM or Honda specific. You can do anything with an OBD2 scanner for under $40, don't let the self-proclaimed 'brand' on this thing fool you. I even ordered from a vendor called LAUNCH because I saw other people warning that these…

You can probably find a better scanner

OK FYI this is the same model as the Launch USA devices. Same software, same function, no fake. The good news is that depending on the make and model of the car, it performs most or some of the claimed functions. It was updated with an older Win7 computer. Not complicated and free updates forever. I'm not sure if the update helped. Chrysler/Dodge will no longer boot except for basic OBDII scan functions. This is an old scanner platform (at least 5-7 years old) so it loads a little slowly. No…
