It rotates slowly and the light is a little dim, but for the price it's still very good value. Just right for a young girl. TIP: Putting it in front of a mirror will enhance the effect! Pretty cool. I rated the durability a 3 because it's all plastic. I wouldn't recommend it for a small child or a loud party, but for the average teenage diva (like mine lol) it should be fine.

We recently ordered this light for our nephew's 4th birthday. We've decided it's best to try before giving, just to make sure it works. (Bulb included, btw!) My 5 year old daughter chose this as a Christmas present for her 3 year old brother. I'll admit I wasn't sure, but I try to let them make decisions about gifts for each other as long as they stay within their dollar amount. For less than nine dollars, I gave her the green light to buy it. I shouldn't have doubted her for a single moment! This disco ball will keep both kids and their little brother entertained for hours! I like that the cable isn't rigid and just plugs into the back of the base.
