BEST - styling and hold all day AND hair stays SOFT!

I discovered this product while cutting my son's hair. He has fine hair and I asked if he could add some texture to it (I expected the answer to be a resounding no). His stylist used this on his hair and I loved it! It's soft enough to run your fingers through your hair and lets you adjust throughout the day. I just put a small swab on my son, it lasted all day. No sticky residue like other brands I've tried in the past. That's a win - my husband was actually amazed at how soft his hair was and

EXCELLENT styling products

My husband uses this every day to tame his thick, straight hair. Your hair won't move. It makes his hair look like plastic, but he uses LOTS of products to keep his hair in check during the 12-hour night shifts. You can use less. I use a little on the brush and comb my brows, and I can dilute it with a few other products and apply to damp hair to control frizz and frizz. A clarifying shampoo is required every few days, and improper handling can leave stains on the lenses.

  • Looking forward to
Cons
  • A little frizzy

Does not go with lipstick

Smells like a surf wax I used to wear. The best part is how easy it is to use. It stays wet long enough to style differently than a competitor's lipstick I recently bought. The downside is that it doesn't hold up well. Depending on how you style your hair, this could be for you. Maybe I would try this brand with a stronger hold version. I have not confirmed this and have only seen it in a YouTube review of the product, but one of its ingredients has been linked to cancer. I had this in the back

New packaging, same great product

I've been using it for years and I like it a lot. It does what it says on the tin (works like a wax, rinses off like a gel) and more. I use it on both damp (for shine and control) and dry hair (when I want it to be matte and less "perfectly styled"). The new packaging seems a little heavier and "sturdier" to me - which hopefully doesn't mean the company uses more plastic - but (thank goodness!) the product is still the same - AMAZING! the product is there, it lasts long enough to be worth it to

  • Not bad

Tried many things, this one is the best.

I've used many hair gels and for many reasons they aren't enough; the smell is wrong, hell, doesn't exist, too flaky, too hard, not hard enough, weird texture, whatever. This one is spot on. Minimal flaking after a few days of not washing your hair is ideal and this one fits the bill perfectly. It would be hard to beat this lipstick, especially at this price point. Without a doubt the best lipstick I've ever bought and this comes from someone who uses it every day. Value = 5 stars. Smell = 5…

Perfect pomade in hair care

An important reason is that it doesn't smell strong. Most lipsticks smell, so if you're the type of person who wears too much cologne or Ax Body Spray and thinks other people love it, this lipstick might be for you. I like that it's water based and washes easily. First I dry my hair by applying hair gel to it. Then apply some lipstick to your hands and rub them together and then rub all over your head in a casual style. It covers the hair slightly and makes it easy to comb or style by hand…

Rinses off, smells great, blotchy coverage

After switching from gel this year I tried a few lipsticks before settling on Layrite. My method was simple: try several brands from the store and increase (price) until I was satisfied with one of them. Layrite hits the mark in many ways and I'm sticking with it for now. The best part I think is that it rinses off really well and feels very light without being sticky or greasy. Some pomades (or putty or whatever) I've used have been pretty shampoo resistant and stay on my hair. It washes off…

Great Stuff: Lipsticks

Judging by other reviews these products can have some quality control issues but seems I was lucky to have gotten a good can. I have very fine, slightly curly hair that takes quite a bit of product to control and a decent dab of this stuff works great. The description says to use a small blob but I would say my hair needs a large blob to fully hold the hairstyle and keep it in place. I will say I love the smell. It's hard to describe, but there's something familiar about it. It's almost a light
