Well it's a good leather knife but be prepared to have a knife stone handy as mine wasn't sharpened properly. After spending some time sharpening it works great now.

I don't know if it's just a rotten egg or they're all bad. The edge curled after first use, sanded the edge onto what I use on most of my tools and it curled so I post-cured it and it still curled the edge so I ended up with a bad piece of metal , hope yours is better.

I've been trying to cut buffalo leather with the sharpest knife I have, a new stationery knife, a desktop paper cutter and diagonals. This tool gave me the straightest cuts. When using other instruments, the skin is more deformed, and at the end of the cut the edge becomes indirect. This tool gave me the best cuts. Before I received it I thought it would be overpriced but I think it's actually good value for money.

Great little knife! Came out of the box very sharp, but my only concern is that the yoke that attaches the blade to the handle becomes very loose and sometimes pops out in the middle of a cut. It messed up my straight line the first few times which was frustrating for me but I fixed it by adding some quick drying epoxy so it doesn't happen again. This knife is suitable for light use but not intended for heavy use or even much sharpening in my opinion. Although it is very cheap and suitable for craftsmen or hobbyists, I would not recommend it for those who intend to do a lot of work with it or for those who do not know how to properly hold the sharp edge of their knife. This knife just doesn't hold a very sharp edge for long, but if you're willing to sharpen and/or tighten frequently each time, it could do a decent job.

I wanted to love this. The first one I ordered had a broken blade. OK no problem. They sent another. The second had a different (though much smaller) chip. Okay, I get it, this is a cheap Chinese blade from Revain. I carefully sharpened the blade, removing the splinter, and then polished it as best I could with my equipment. Loop.
