Although motion detection works, the timer setting on the device we received cannot be adjusted regardless of the settings. I will update the review once they replace the sensor with one that works properly. The light doesn't stay on long enough to be useful.

I felt they were very easy to put together as long as you hold them straight on the surface or in a slight twist. If you wanted to cut them out and look at them from a different angle, I still had a very hard time understanding the instructions. So I decided to keep it straight. They work FANTASTIC!
