Pretty good lighting for plants

I use three of these for the plant shelf: a red/blue light, a warm white and a cool white. They aren't very bright on their own, but all three together make a pretty good grow light and mix together easily. I use them to light orchid seedlings and they seem to be doing pretty well.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • So so

Great grow light to use for Chitomorph algae

Great product if you are looking for a good Chitomorph grow light. I installed 1 in my 4ft 12" Chito Reactor for testing and it works great for just a 12" LED light. The chito in my reactor grew at least 30 percent in 2 weeks. 12 hour usage cycle. I now transfer this light to my main sanctuary display.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Has flaws

I do not like it. But I like it.

I removed the old fluorescent case from my little 6 gallon Eclipse that I always had. I installed this device with double sided tape. Easy to do. What I don't like about this unit is that it doesn't have a remote control and there's no way to change the light without using a dimmer. I wish I could turn off red/white sometimes. But the light works great and there is good light. Just too purple for me.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • No automatic

This is definitely a homemade product. I would give them a higher rating if the PSU was replaced. The only way to turn off the light is to completely disconnect the power supply. That being said, I was able to easily mount them in a cheap 20" Aqueon hood using waterproof double-sided tape. I combined colored LEDs with bright daylight and got a great spectrum for the plants in my 10 gallon aquarium.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

It's beautiful and it works.

Highly recommended. Mine hangs on the back of my BioCube 16 which grows heto at night. It's been installed for a year and I haven't had any problems. Warms but doesn't overheat. I have a female connector on one end and a male connector on the other that mates with the connector on the BioCube hood. I don't use it with a range hood because I use a timer to keep it running backwards. It's actually a bit bright for my setup, less than an inch from the algae, so I reduced the photoperiod. This…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Good overall but...
