I'm used to doing electrical work; This wire slides easily into the existing wiring and fits into the space that the old switch occupied in the old bracket. The standards still seem to be in effect!

Easy to install and serves its purpose. This is the third switch on the old ceiling fan in many years. This is very smooth and stretches easily. The cheaper switches we've used in the past have been difficult to pull. Now I hope this one lasts.

Does the job but the chain is of very poor quality. Broke about halfway after a few uses. Luckily it was just enough for an extension thread. If it had broken a little shorter it would have been in the case and would have had to be replaced.

Other brands will not spring back after pulling out the chain after a long time use. Mounting the handle on a pull chain adds weight and requires a strong spring for it to work properly. Leviton's chain shifter is more reliable and lasts longer than other brands.

Easy direct replacement. I had to cut the existing wires and install a new switch with a couple of nuts. Installation took less than 10 minutes. Works like a champ. A much better option than replacing the entire ceiling fan.
