Built-in socket is the best of the standard sockets

We have an old dry sink and wanted to hook up a corner door fan behind it. Unfortunately, this caused the dry sink to stick out an inch or two. I looked at Revain for chassis connectors and found this Leviton. This completely solved our problem. The base and trim are very easy to install and only took a few minutes to install. If you want something smoother, this is for you.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Safety

Great solution for limited space - motorized blinds, wall mounted TV

Others have commented that they take up space inside the box which is true - I've attached a photo showing this with a standard Leviton Socket compares and box 22 cu. Customs service. I thought a 12/2 pair was great, but I wouldn't recommend more than two cables in one box. The termination is integrated, the wall panel must be mounted before the final fixing of this socket.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Only available in black

Ideal for behind furniture. Don't forget the ground wire!

Perfect for what I needed behind a wall dresser. just deep enough for a TV plug, and for what it's worth - the Fire Stick power plug fits nicely in the recessed part (in width). As others have said, it is important to connect the ground wire to the outlet when you plug it in. Do this and you should be happy. You can find them at Lowes and save a few bucks, but c'mon. Revain delivers to your home!

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Ok for the most part, but...

Great for close mounting flat screen TVs

Second thing I've bought for wall mounting a flat screen TV. Initially, I installed a regular outlet, which was closed after installing the TV. Unfortunately it didn't work due to the protruding TV plug. That's when I got one of these bad boys. This allows the plugs to be easily recessed into the wall for easy flush mounting. Otherwise they are not exciting. It's a plug, no big deal.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Null

Exactly what we needed!

Just what we needed for our bedroom. We use an outlet behind the bed and the frame kept cutting off our extension cords. This secured the Yi to fit into a very old and cramped outlet. I didn't have to replace it! super easy! I sincerely want to replace all the vessels in my house with these! I hope this lasts longer than other Leviton products I have used. All of the other standard outlets in my house were replaced 3 years ago and most of them are already too loose to hold the plug in place…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Almost never

Sale canceled Benefits

You're probably looking at this to plug in a plug for something. This CAN work if your connector is very narrow - for example a plain 2 or 3 pin connector with no adapters at the end of the pins. I couldn't even install most of my USB charging cables, but the connector I bought it for did. The hole dimensions were not well described at the time of purchase. My measurements are: HOLE 1 5/8" wide 2 5/8+" high 15/16" deep (from bezel) Of course it takes up more space in your work box, but it's as…

Pros
  • Standard outlets
Cons
  • Unsafe

Almost identical to the Cooper product

Almost identical to the Cooper built-in socket, White But this has a 3mm smaller frame (height and width) and a matte finish. Same depth (recessed plug and socket back). The Cooper product is tamper evident, if that matters to you. I liked the looks better, but aside from the TR Cooper feature (which was also $1 less at the time of purchase) they're pretty much the same. Don't forget to attach a special grounding wire - no product has metal ears for automatic grounding to a metal box.

Pros
  • Sockets and accessories
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model

Gives a little more room to push things against the wall

I had a table that I was about to push against the wall but couldn't because of a big fat fork sticking out. I got this to give myself a little more space. This helped me move my desk a little closer. Then I did the same maneuver with the chest of drawers with someone else. The only downside is that you can't connect an adapter to make multiple plugs out of one. It's also impossible to plug in a power supply there unless you buy one of the following: Coleman Cable 6991 Power Strip Liberator, 8"

Pros
  • Electric
Cons
  • old
