descent performance. The writing speed is confusing.

Sustained read speed of 200+ MB/s on a MacBook Pro with a USB 3.0 port. However, write speeds range from 3MB/s to 70MB/s. originally formatted in, will try switching to exFAT or APS and see if that makes a difference.

Previously Purchased Lexar Products. This Lexar jump drive didn't disappoint. It loads and charges very quickly. And I desperately needed that extra storage capacity.

Pay a little more for the best

I've let other well known brands like Sandisk fail and it can be devastating. I've never had a problem with Lexars so I bought another one even though it was a few bucks more expensive than the others. It transfers data very quickly and, like previous Lexars, is secure and reliable. I'm very happy with it!

Write speed is a bit slow

Good memory at the right price - I don't know how long we can keep buying stuff like this so I have 3 and all 3 work fine when you're not in a rush

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Not the best

Good but slow storage

It's a good flash drive, but it's just slow. Moving large files to a flash drive takes a lot of time. I think it's a compromise as it doesn't get as hot as other flash drives because the write speed is slower.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Boring packaging

So far, so good. best in datastore

write speed is pretty good. Can write a 5GB file in 2.5 minutes. As another reviewer pointed out, the writing speed goes up and down. But I don't care as long as it works and is reliable. It's much faster than my old Kingston USB 2.0 drive, which took 16 minutes to write the same 5GB file. I will update it if it breaks.

Works for me: Data storage

I bought this as the third item in my backup set; The first two were bought locally because they were on sale. So actually I have experience with them a few months. I use them to back up my system backup, so I had to format this NTFS to get around the 4GB FAT file size limit. That means my comments about speed only apply to NTFS formatted drives. write speed. If you look at the details, the write speeds range from 0 to 64MB/s or so. Actual tests show that the overall speed is almost the same as
