Very good, versatile SSD.

I have had Verbatim products since I was a child in the 90's and my parents had Verbatim 3.5 inch rims. Find computer storage options, and that name still works well today. I have used this 2.5" SATA SSD in a variety of devices from a hard drive bay to a Linux laptop and it is currently in my PS3 Slim where the OS is booting up a bit. faster than the previous standard hard drive (although not much faster as the PS3 doesn't natively support SSDs). No matter how many times I erased or used this…

Cheap way to increase performance, but installation problematic

Installed Windows 10 on this drive and my car flies. Everything on this drive boots at 50% or less than my previous hard drive - the boot time has been reduced from about 30 seconds to about 10 seconds, and most of the time seems to meet the pre-windows boot requirements. a little rough. On a laptop you can probably just place it, but on a desktop you can. Well, it depends on what's already there. In my case, I was missing a drive bay (although I blame HP for that. Who doesn't provide an extra…

It works! Storage

I recently got a new Dell computer with its own SSD for C drive. I plan on saving photos and playing around with them and I thought it seemed a little limited so I installed this thing. It was a bit of trial and error because Dell had connectors inside the case to plug it in, but then the system didn't give a clear indication that the drive was working or even being recognized. Long story short, what I basically had to do was go into "System Management" or "Disk Management" or whatever and…

a cheap and easy way to improve the performance of your old computer

Is your computer a bit old and slow? There are 3 relatively easy and inexpensive ways to make it work as well or better than a new one. First, you'll need to add more memory, although older 32-bit computers may have limitations on the amount of memory that can be added. Second, clean up a bit by removing unused software and reinstalling the operating system. Third, install a solid state drive like this one. It installs like an old-fashioned hard drive, but is much faster. Install your operating

Works as expected: Internal SSDs

I recently installed a new video editing program that also uses my webcam to record videos. Unfortunately, it didn't burn because my existing drives ran out of space. So I got this little gem. Installation was fairly easy - I use a desktop PC so I only installed 4 screws (not included) to attach it to the drive carrier, get it in place and connect the power and SATA cables . The only confusing part is getting Windows 10 to recognize and configure the new drive. You need to go into disk…

Good SSD. So far no problem.

I've used this as a media drive in a car head with a Sabrent case for a few months and haven't had any problems, although as you can imagine it's not the most demanding use case. Before that I used it as the main drive for Raspberry Pi and didn't see any problems either. I spent all day reading and writing for the Home Assistant Server and everything went smoothly. It's Lexar and I've had good experiences with it, so it's not surprising. I deducted a star in the value for money sub-rating…

Fast and affordable

Lexar released two SSDs in late 2018. (SSD = Solid State Drive) A Solid State Drive is a "hard disk drive" that does not use platters or platters. It effectively uses "memory" to store your data (except unlike memory, an SSD doesn't forget everything once the power goes out), and the reasons for that are incredibly fast speeds compared to an HDD. and no moving parts and far fewer sources of error. The downside has been – so far – the cost. SSDs were very expensive when they first came out. So…

You should already know how to install it

It looks like anyone who buys this 2.5" SATA III 240GB SSD will be able to install it . My new gaming PC, which already had an SSD with a SATA connection, will be able to accommodate this new drive. The drive comes with a brief set of instructions - essentially, turn off the power, remove the cover, plug in the drive into the SATA power connector and the SATA connector on the motherboard. Well, it's not clear where it is on my computer, so I watched YouTube on how to install an SSD. He said you
