It looks like anyone who buys this 2.5" SATA III 240GB SSD will be able to install it . My new gaming PC, which already had an SSD with a SATA connection, will be able to accommodate this new drive. The drive comes with a brief set of instructions - essentially, turn off the power, remove the cover, plug in the drive into the SATA power connector and the SATA connector on the motherboard. Well, it's not clear where it is on my computer, so I watched YouTube on how to install an SSD. He said you have to buy connectors (or they should be included with the hard drive). but that is not the case). The inside of his computer is very different from mine, so the video didn't help. So that. I guess I'll have to pay someone to install it. Will update when available but it's frustrating they make the sound practically plug and play on any computer on the product page and even in the instructions but you really need to know what you're doing as they don't help a lot of. UPDATE: The geek said this drive wouldn't work with my new computer unless we were using it to replace the current SATA drive, so we put it in a computer that's about 8 years old , but could use a SATA drive. The driver installed quickly. He said that it has good performance, but the transmission speed is limited by the old computer motherboard. That works fine.
