I have been using XQD cards since I bought D500 in 2016. I bought a new Nikon Z6 II and the new CFExpress card is 4 times faster! Wow. Same price as the old technique 5 years ago. With firmware updates, the D500 can use them too. You will need a new card reader if you are currently using XQD, older card readers will not recognize it. I bought a new reader that works with both XQD and CFExpress. Problem solved.

When transferring data from the card to the computer, the transfer hung and the card stopped working. I could not retrieve data from the card. Both my computer and the camera no longer recognize the card. I have emailed Lexar twice and never received a response. This was the first time I used a Lexar card. 64GB model: This card is suitable for photography on the R5, but does not fully function for video functions. it's just SPEED. normal sustain speeds are much slower. Therefore this card is listed as NOT SUPPORTED for video on R5. This works, but can cause buffering issues. All other models like 128GB and above are supported. This problem only exists with 64 GB. Plus, with 64GB, you only get 3 minutes of 8K RAW, so it's practically useless for video.
