Gimmicky! Better options out there.

Got one of these as a gift from someone who knows I generally like Vargo products. However, this knife is gimmicky and not practical. Its best feature is the integrated clip, although it doesn't strike me as 'necessary' or even something particularly desirable. The handle is OK, but less comfy and secure than other thin, skeletonized knife handles that are more ergonomic. The size of the blade is good for EDC but the Wharncliffe style is not, unless you like to cut out coupons or newspaper…

Pros
  • ‎Vargo
Cons
  • Small, cheap, SMALL, CHEAP. If that's what you need in a carry knife, then okay dokey.

Amazing addition for a light pack

From past experience with titanium, you may have to sharpen it with carbide and not a sharpening stone. Outside of that, so far this thing is awesome. Has a good feel for ultralight. I haven't been able to find anything titanium in this type of knife that made a good option. I'm well under 15lb now, I have studied, extensively everything that went into my pack with no expense considered. this is the best in my opinion for an ultralight knife.

Pros
  • ‎Titainium Wharn-Clip Knife
Cons
  • Lack of a serrated edge may limit the knife's usefulness in cutting through tougher materials such as rope or cardboard

Not a quick to grab knife, bad sheath. Awkward and clumsy.

The knife is sharp and light. The rubber sheath is prone to opening, and the knife dropping. Reversing the sheath to aid handle grip makes deployment slow and grip still weak.

Pros
  • Made in China
Cons
  • The lightweight design may not feel substantial enough for users who prefer a heftier and sturdier feel in their knives

AWFUL SHEATH ruins knife!

Fine knife, one must handsharpen knife as leading edge is on ONE side-this odd style makes it good for chopping, as just cut foods clear aside nicely. Handle is VERY short-though one can rig the sheath to use as a handle extension to make it feel like a full sized knife. The sheath-oh my, the sheath,.the tip can go between the two rivets during reinsertion; almost impossible to withdraw one handed, no way to reinsert one handed. If you are looking for knife that is just a light, yet vastly more

Pros
  • ‎T-439
Cons
  • The blade's narrow tip may not hold up well against heavy use and could potentially snap or break with repeated sharpening

This works perfectly as a keychain

It is a bit large for that purpose but it lies flat in a pocket so it works. It is very sharp and always available. The clip is high quality as is the metal of the blade itself, so it should last a long time and should hold its edge.

Pros
  • ‎3 x 8 x 0.4 inches
Cons
  • The knife's compact size may not be ideal for users with larger hands who may find it difficult to grip comfortably

Whole lot of awesomeness!

A titanium knife? For real? Yes! For real! Its titanium and fits nicely in the hand, this one came sharp, not really sure how to sharpen this as it is titanium. Lets hope it holds an edge.Love it.

Pros
  • ‎1
Cons
  • The knife comes at a higher price point than most other knives of similar size and functionality, which may not be appealing to budget-conscious buyers

More good than bad but not by much!

I gave this knife 4/5 stars because the sheath is NOT kydex like it says and it was dull. That being said it is a very light weight edc neck knife. Not a hard user! This vid was helpful http://youtu.be/a8eOyXQHDao

Pros
  • Single bevel grind for exceptional strength, sharpness, and ease of honing
Cons
  • The Wharn-Clip blade may not be as versatile as other types of blades, making it a less practical choice for outdoors or survival scenarios

great idea, poor quality control

This knife is nice and light, perfect for backpacking.I sent mine back (thanks for making this painless Revain) because: 1) the cutting edge was not straight. This style (wharncliffe) is supposed to be straight. The cutting surface on this knife was U-shaped, with the high spot in the middle of the cutting edge. 2) The clip in the handle barely made contact with the other side of the opening. Another half a millimeter and it would have been fine.

Pros
  • Camping & Hiking
Cons
  • The knife's minimalist design lacks any additional features such as a built-in bottle opener, which may not appeal to users who value multi-functionality in their tools

thoroughly supprised

I had expected this thing to be bigger. More like a kitchen knife. The actual dimensions (w/o sheath) are about 5-7/8" long, 1-1/8" wide and 1/16" thick. It was a little dissapointing at first however after some time and a weekend of camping ive come around. Its well suited for preparing food as well cutting p-cord and whittling mallow sticks. This is my first titanium knife and i am thoroughly impressed with the metals properties. It sharpens up nice and stays that way. Needless to…

Pros
  • Sports & Outdoors
Cons
  • The titanium material makes the knife very slick, which could pose a safety hazard when trying to grip it firmly
