💪 Lippert 1346271 Flex Guard Single Kit: The Ultimate Hardware Solution Review

I ordered a single channel not knowing there are different sizes. I have it but feel like I may need to upgrade to a double in the future. Pretty quick install on my 2014 Thor Tuscany XTE. Approx. 15 minutes, including collection of the necessary tools and cleaning.

Bought to replace one on my RV slide. Unfortunately, it's already showing signs of cracking, and it's only been a few months. Hope this lasts a while. It was pretty easy to install. I used the original post that was on the RV.

Identical replacement for the original product that I am replacing. A HORRIBLE aftermarket product as most of the wires (that I had) are terminated at each end and you can't thread them through the loop mounts provided. without change. I cut one end to route the cables and secured the gap with a zip tie. It will work.

Direct replacement up to the mark of the one on my 2016 Freedom Express 276 RKDS trailer's living room slide. I didn't use any hardware other than the retaining clip as I only needed to replace the flex rail so I can't comment on that part but the flex rail installed through the existing rails in about 10 minutes. The hardest part was reinstalling the screws at the end as access to them was inconvenient.

As others have said, my original one that came with my van broke after a year of use. I bought this to replace it. I used small square pieces holding the wires from the original. All you have to do is pull the long plastic strip out of the squares and reuse them. Other than that, I don't know how you could run a wire through them without unhooking it somewhere. Let's start with the good. The strap fit perfectly and looked like the original equipment. There are no problems with the strap. It worked. Now let's talk about the bad. really bad. The hardware is complete junk. You can see what I mean from the photos. The welding was so hot that the strut deformed so much that it could no longer be used. The weld also penetrated more than 2/3 of the aluminum rod. It would be nice if the weld compensated for the diameter loss, but that's not the case. In my…
