This is great. If I had known they existed sooner, I would have done a lot more repairs around my house. Such a simple tool and now I can install a new floor and not have to worry about cutting corners and pipes.

The system is a bit stiff and you have to push it hard to contour your figure. The blocking feature is good, but it's a little hard to block. Overall, this saves time and helps you get the perfect haircut. I'm sure it's not for a professional, but for a DIYer this will work really well.

While I'm not a carpenter, I've found several uses around the home. I used it for floor mats that sit flush with the door frame. I actually used it to help my kid with an art project, transferring shapes from a 3D object onto paper. Its "combs" aren't the thinnest, so they're a bit jagged when tracing a curved surface. very convenient! I'm sure I'll find more uses as time goes on.

They help create relief cuts in the floor to clear corners and other obstructions. I laid the floor without them and while it's definitely doable, they make it a lot easier to transfer the measurements from the cuts to the piece of floor. My only suggestion is to make the moving parts longer so you can measure more depth. It's worth it if you lay the flooring yourself!

There is an old car that was hit on one side of the fender but the other side was fine. I thought the outline would be a bit off when I look at it, but I couldn't be sure. I came across these path copy tools and thought it might work. Of course, when comparing one side to the other, this was not the case. So the challenge now is to bring both sides back together.
