Does it work well for spares

I've tried other methods of disconnecting the fan but nothing worked. I saved some money and bought this bad boy and it didn't take long to get to work. Heavy duty, remember to wear gloves if it breaks.

Pros
  • There is something in there
Cons
  • Slightly dented

Very Good Quality - Motorkits

Excellent product, quality material. Good price. The Snap on or Matco brands cost four times as much and offer no better performance. I have used this product many times with heavy duty air hammer latches and this product delivers superior quality and precision every time. No breakage, chips, marks or wear.

Pros
  • Good product for its price
Cons
  • Crumpled

Well done. in Motorkit products

I had to hit my fan a bit to loosen it with a pneumatic hammer. The instrument has held up very well. I don't know how long they will last in the store without implying that they won't. But for a do-it-yourselfer, they are worth their money. It might seem like a lot for a tool that you literally use for 30 seconds to a minute, but my goodness, it really gets the job done with ease.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • No mold required

TOOLS REQUIRED under Parts

If you are planning to replace the water pump on a 2001 Silverado this thing is worth its weight in gold for removing the fan clutch. Seriously. This and (search here) JW Winco A53710 Black Finish Special steel single ended key with open end, 36mm hole, 300mm long x 13mm thick. I fiddled with the fan clutch for hours, fed up, ordered these two tools. As soon as the tool was in front of my door, I opened the bonnet, aligned the tool and the clutch, and after 3 minutes it started immediately.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Great set that should last!

Purchased to replace MAC toolkits. The build quality is very similar to the MAC, except the MAC doesn't have the glossy finish that this one has (glossy black color). The edge that contacts the fan clutch nut has chipped paint, which is to be expected, but no signs of wear are visible. They seem to mark the fan clutch nut more than the MAC version, but not compared to the damage you would suffer using just the Air Hammer bit. Highly recommend if you need a fan clutch kit, pneumatic really is…

Pros
  • Annual trial period
Cons
  • Some bugs

Best fan clutch removal tool on the market IMO.

Follow the instructions and the fan clutches will come off with little effort. The only thing I would add to the instructions is to use it at a very acute angle. 90 degrees or close is not great. Smaller angles work best. AND MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT REMOVE THE STRAP BEFORE USING THIS. Also, do not use it to try to tighten the fan clutch. They tighten themselves with the engine running. Just turn it by hand and leave it that way. If you don't know which way to turn the fan clutch to loosen it, be…

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Negative present

It worked as it should!

I ordered this kit to remove a VERY stiff fan clutch on a Jeep 4.0 engine. I was very impressed with how durable the instrument was. It's always a little intimidating to buy a tool online without being able to see it. They hope that when the tool arrives it won't be flimsy junk. Don't worry about this tool! The part that went with my jeep was very strong and held up well to being hit by an air hammer! I had to borrow a larger air hammer as mine wasn't powerful enough, but once I put it in place

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Update available
