Lite On LH20A1H: High-Speed Super All Write LightScribe DVD/Dual LayerRW Drive - 20x Review

I've been using this Lite-On burner for almost half a year now and it was a major upgrade to my (old) system. It just works brilliantly. I've burned (literally) hundreds of discs of all types and haven't had any problems with this drive. LightScribe is particularly useful when you create "special" DVDs or CDs. I had never heard of Liteon before I discovered that the CD-ROM drive in my Dell is a Liteon product. Since this drive has been running flawlessly for six years now and is good enough for Dell, I have no regrets buying it. The unit works well and is quieter than the HP drive it replaced. Unless I missed a few settings, the included Nero software (30-day trial) is clunky and slow compared to my version of Sonics MyDVD. I was so excited when I received my Liteon DVD burner. That stopped the excitement. I was able to burn 1 DVD before my burner just stopped working. I've tried everything including reinstalling and . No results. I'm in touch with Revain. Still waiting for an email reply? I also tried contacting Liteon. To date there is no answer. I needed a writer. Went there and got a Sony Mod # DRU 840A. Does what it is supposed to do, very well, well packaged and with great accessories. It's slow, like all Lightscribe drives, and the image burned to CD is pretty sharp, but not super dark. I hooked it up to my HP desktop and it works great without incident and is easy to install.
