Don't let the price fool you. It's really awesome!

I was skeptical that a mid-range DVD recorder could work well. However, this CD exceeded my expectations. It does its job well and doesn't require high quality drives. This is the second LiteOn drive we have purchased and both are reliable and produce high quality media. If we need another drive, LiteOn is the best choice.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Damaged

Biggest bang for your buck!

This drive has everything you'd expect from a DVD/CD writer and leaves enough money to buy a blank DVD. I've burned about 50 DVDs/CDs and have had no problems with this drive. You can't go wrong with Lite-on drives, read their reviews on CNET.

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Great Price

Everything is fine Computers and accessories

Everything is fine with this disc. I've made many coasters with it. You have to make sure you buy drives that they say they support - I was told by their tech support that - we suggest you use tdk, ridata, imation, literal, sony, philips, ritek. The following was also said: We do not recommend our customers to use memorex, maxell, any generics or private label such as officemax or braces. I found a firmware update that seems to get it working at 8x with Verbatims. This still doesn't work with…

Pros
  • SMART-X (intelligent monitoring and reading speed adjustment technology for eXtraction)
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

High performance at such a low price

studied the difference between DVD-R/W and DVD+R/W and was satisfied Note that this burner supports both formats as well as all CD-R/W formats. At first I had problems with some JVC DVD-R media, but it turned out to be the discs and not the unit. Since that fiasco I've used various mediums from brand name to cheap no name brands and I have yet to make 'stands' with this machine. Everything runs very well on ALL of my standalone DVD players in my house. It comes with NERO with an additional DVD…
