I thought it was for a regular ebike controller. But there was a way too small. My fault for not double checking the dimensions. I reordered the controller unit for myself. The first little ones were well built and good looking, maybe I can use them for another purpose.

Yes, this box is small but well made, with brass inserts for mounting screws. Only really suitable for small 250-350W controllers. There isn't much room inside for ports or extra cables (which need to be carefully attached). But the small size doesn't take up much room on the bike, and the smaller slots on the bottom allow the right wires to get in without mess (and they're easy to seal with silicone).
