Light does not come on

I like the size and number of inner and outer pockets, but the light doesn't come on. There was no plastic latch to remove from the battery compartment as instructed. Now I'm wondering if the batteries are dead or if the light is broken, I would hate to buy new batteries and the light still doesn't work.

Not suitable as a separate bag.

The biggest flaw is that this wallet has no strap. The company doesn't have to buy anything to turn it into a shoulder bag. This is definitely a wallet organizer and is not intended to be carried as a wallet. The material reminds me of my children's winter jackets. I'm not impressed, was looking for a standalone bag. I would never pay that just for an organizer.
