Nothing to attach to stairs. Gravity is the only thing keeping it there and because it's so light it's VERY easy to accidentally remove it. If there were clips to attach to the rung of a ladder, this would be the perfect accessory. It's a good size with lots of holes to hang your tools. But it isn't, and if you smack it away from under the tools, I HOPE none are under you, because you're about to get very sick. .

Fits Werner Telescoping Ladder (Werner MT-17 300-pound Duty Rating Telescoping Multiple Ladder, 17') when ladder step is at least 12 inches. Excellent material, solid, almost perfectly level on the stairs. The magnetic shelf is very useful. Multiple slots for hand tools. Supplied with two rubber bands for hanging tools. I also use them to attach the tray to the ladder when the ladder is folded. Much higher quality and better performance than the Werner tray and half the price.

Very limited use, only works when the ladder is in the stepladder configuration, even then it can be hit very easily and anything on it will crumble. Buy an extension tier instead of this tray. It works the same way but is designed to hold one person so you can stand in both the stepladder and extension positions for long periods of time without injuring the arches of your feet. This stair accessory is practical but not perfect. I've used it once and it was for a project using both sides of my Little Giant ladder in frame position. Well, as you can imagine, this involves moving the tablet from side to side as you move side to side. They have an extra hold hanging in the middle of the stairs to avoid this, so it might be worth considering.
