🔀 LLPT Double Sided Tape for Woodworking Template and CNC: Removable & Residue Free - 108 Feet, Multiple Sizes (WT258) Review

I ordered this for its intended purpose of holding the blanks on the CNC bed during machining. The size (thickness) is accurate so I can take it into account when designing toolpaths. This product met my expectations beyond my expectations.

I don't know why it took me so long to try this tape as I mainly use it for woodworking and this one is made for that. I've used carpet tape, thin duct tape, etc in the past with poor results. This band keeps everything it promises. Holds well but leaves no residue. I used a temporary thin strip guard on the table saw guide fence to secure the sandpaper to the drill table instead of using clamps and to hold thin boards on the workbench without dogs getting in the way. I'm not sure who wrote the other reviews but this tape is not for CNC or other types of woodworking. Communication is excellent, thickness uniformity is excellent. The rest he leaves is incredible. I couldn't find a way to separate the pieces without leaving a lot of residue on the wood. I even tried putting the parts in the fridge hoping it would work. The only way I found to remove the residue was with either acetone or alcohol, both left a mess. I am returning the tape and will update this…

I have tried different attachment methods as I am working with a very difficult material, aluminium. Regular double sided tape didn't work so before making this tape I used two pieces of tape and glued them together with super glue. This tape keeps it on par with the previous method, but I spend half the time and don't have to fiddle with glue. The tape has a sufficiently hard coating to prevent it from sticking to itself. Thus most of the thickness of the roll is the coating, not the tape. It's quite comfortable to use and doesn't try to stick to itself due to the hard cover. Glue it in place and then remove the cover. Companies often recycle products for multiple uses. I am not sure. But this is clearly sold as "woodworking tape" here at Revain, but on the packaging of the item I received it clearly says "carpet tape" on the label/sticker. However, it looks identical to the picture and seems to work great as a CNC workpiece clamping method. I don't see any marks on my blanks after removing the tape as others have suggested.
