My rating is only this low because my cat wouldn't use it. She loves scratching posts and when she had to lock her up due to an injury I figured she would love it. She didn't use it. I tried to move him around the cage but she didn't even try. As a result, I included a separate one instead. Shame because the idea is great and would take up less space. It was easy to install.

My kitten has a large kennel and I want her to have something to do there. This bar attaches to the kennel bars for him to scratch and climb in for a bit. This is a fairly simple build, but I recommend having an extra pair of hands to help you hold the post and back brace while you screw in the fasteners. I did it on my own, and while it was doable, it took a lot longer. I haven't had any problems with it detaching or moving and the cat loves it.
